1. Which events or social phenomena have you observed that made you come up with your word? How did these events help you create the word?

During campaign season, candidates seek to influence the decision making of voters by offering projects, ideas, and their vision for the country. They speak and do things in order to win the hearts of the people, promising a better future for all. But the sad reality is inevitable. There are people hungry for power, neglecting the true essence of their high position, far from their sweet words during the election period.

2. Using your own words, how would you define the term you have coined?

Political veneer is a representation of deceptive campaigning during elections. It means deceiving people through their sweet talks while hiding desire for personal gain.

3. Which aspects have you considered in defining the social phenomena? What made you choose the word/s for your coined term?

Running for a government seat comprises a considerable amount of responsibility; if voted, their decisions will have a substantial impact on the nation's people. Sometimes candidates sugarcoat their thoughts and express innumerable pledges, but when they assumed position, they failed to carry out their intentions for the country.
